Frequently asked question at the tasting room. How often do you have to replant your grapevines?

There is no reason to replant until they die. Grapevines can live to be over 130. During that time they develop gorgeous gnarly trunks. They keep producing beautiful grape clusters until the end. Their wines are delicious too. Old is good.

My Rhône variety Gannon and Owl Hill vineyards are 40 (I planted them when I was 10). Vines in Garibaldi Vineyard are ancient.
