Frick Estate Vineyards
Frick Estate Garibaldi Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley 110 year old vines yield just 1 barrel of red wine each vintage. A field blend of Mission, Burger, Palomino, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, White Muscat, Grenache, Valdiguié, Carignane and Mataro grow mixed together in one vineyard as was common 100 years ago. I've preserved this small rare plot of wine history so we can taste the past. I named this unique vineyard to honor my wonderful mother-in-law Babe Garibaldi-Gannon.
Frick Estate Gannon Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley This vineyard is the front yard of my house. It is home to Viognier and Carignane. The wines grown here are delicious. Red and beige clay, gravel & round stones make up the soil. I consider this a special vineyard. Named to honor my wife Judith Gannon. In 1989 as we finished our long day of planting the Viognier a bright double rainbow appeared above us in the Spring sky. A sure sign that this vineyard was going to be magical.
Frick Estate Owl Hill Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley Four hillside acres of Syrah, Counoise, Mourvèdre & Cinsaut. Soil is a unique Dry Creek Conglomerate of stone, sand, gravel and clay from volcanic activity. Micro climates within the steep slopes and exposures add complexity and balance to the wines. On top of the hill vines enjoy summer heat and a stunning view of Dry Creek Valley. Named after barn owls that reside here.
