Tasting Notes   Brilliant ruby red. Aromas of plum, cherry, tree bark and perfume. Full rich and velvety. Full body with character of plum, strawberry, meat juice, black olive. lingering refreshing tangy finish.

The Grape A rare delicious Rhone variety with only 7 acres planted in Sonoma County. It is most often found as a minor component of some Rhone wines. Frick Cinsaut Is grown in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County. Characteristics of the grape are large olive shaped berries, lush sweet fruit flavors and very soft tannin.

The Vineyard Located on the dry, western bench of Dry Creek Valley, these head pruned (not trellised) cinsaut vines grow in medium red, dusty clay soil. Non-irrigated (dry farmed) the vineyard contains only 2 acres of cinsaut. 60 year old vines yield a small amount of the fragrant, fruity grape all destined for Frick Cinsaut wine.

The Wine Nice balance with cherry and raspberry flavors and aromas that carry through to spice on the dry earthy finish. 100% cinsaut. 22 months in 59 gallon casks.
