The Grape A rare delicious Rhone variety. Only 7 acres are planted in the entire Sonoma County Appellation. It is most often found as a minor component of some Rhone blends. Frick Cinsaut is distinguished by being grown in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County. Characteristics of the grape are large olive shaped berries, lush sweet fruit flavors and soft tannin.

The Vineyard Red Bench Vineyard is located on the western bench of Dry Creek Valley, Here head pruned (not trellised) cinsaut vines grow in red, dusty clay non-irrigated (dry farmed) soil. Red Bench vineyard is a little over an acre of 62 year old cinsaut. Old dry farmed vines yield a small amount of lush, fruity grapes that are exclusively Frick Cinsaut

The Wine Original varietal Cinsaut was pioneered by Frick in 1989. This wonderful delicious (now classic) wine has fruity character of cherry, strawberry and raspberry. It pairs with just about any food and is also delicious on its own. Drinks beautifully young or old.
