Tasting Notes: Polished ruby color. Berry, cherry, grape, leafy forest aromas. Mouth filling complex array of fresh fruits. Raspberry, plum, sweet black cherry, pomegranate, blackberry, black currant. Florals around the edge. Lingering dry finish.

The Vineyards: Cinsaut, Syrah & Counoise Dry Creek Valley hillside and bench land vineyards. Cinsaut, Red Bench Vineyard. Barely 2 acres on a western bench of Dry Creek Valley. These old dry farmed vines yield delicious fruity grapes. Syrah & Counoise from Estate Owl Hill Vineyard. This tiny special piece of ground is rock, gravel and clay from decomposed Dry Creek Conglomerate soil. Grapes benefit from unique south & north exposure. Carignane from Estate Gannon Vineyard. Clay, sand, gravel and perfect sun exposure assures flavorful balanced grapes.
The Wine: This Lucia contains 4 grape varieties. It maintains the delightful fruit and soft smooth characteristics that Lucia is known for. Delicious berry flavors and complex earth.

LUCIA blend is named after my late very popular tasting room dog. She was a blend of Old English Sheepdog and Golden Retriever. A complex dog that was soft to pet and did not shed.
