G S M Blend 2024 Dry Creek Valley

$ 37.00

Tasting Notes: Pleasant fruit, and cedar aromas. Cherry, blackberry, cassis, strawberry, dried flowers-potpourri, raspberry and plum. Mushroom, earth, oak and leather. Has a fruity freshness that finishes smooth and dry. Compelling complex depth of favors.

The Grapes: Grown in Dry Creek Valley. Blended to make a wine that speaks of this place.  47% Grenache, 24% Syrah,  24% Mourvèdre, 4% Counoise.

The Vineyards: All grapes grown in the Dry Creek Valley.

Grenache is grown by my neighbor here on Walling Road.

Syrah, Mourvedre & Counoise grow in Frick's Estate Owl Hill Vineyard; This small vineyard’s ground is rock, gravel and clay from decomposed Dry Creek Conglomerate.  In this dirt the vines have low vigor so they produce a limited crop with distinctive, full, classic, earthy Northern Rhone character.

The Wine:  GSM is a popular Rhone blend for the new world. It is    patterned after Chateauneuf-du-Pape. This wine is the classic combination of    varieties that are all grown in the same micro climate of Dry Creek Valley. Flavors harmonize in a delicious delightful way like The 3 Tenors.

Drink now to 2035.
