Tasting Notes Golden straw color.  Aromas are bright green apple, tangerine , melon and mandarin orange, with crisp flavors of apple, pear, mango, pineapple, and a touch of peach. Ends dry with a mineral edge.

The Grape:
A rare white grape in California. Skin has a golden color cast. It performs excellently with warm summers and on very poor soils, like those in Owl Hill Vineyard. Rare. Only 4 versus 15,129 acres Chardonnay in Sonoma County.

The Vineyard:
Frick Estate Owl Hill Vineyard, is on the south-facing hillsides near the winery. This tiny vineyard’s ground is rock, gravel and clay from decomposed Dry Creek Conglomerate soil. In this soil the vines have very low vigor and they produce a limited crop with distinctive, full, rich and classic Grenache Blanc character.

The Wine:
100% Grenache Blanc. Layered complexity in a white wine. Full body. The flavors are mouth filling, zesty and lingering. Barrel fermented and aged; 45% new oak 55% stainless. Sur lie rendered a very complex edition in 2013.
