Late to bud and late to ripen this is often close to the last that I harvest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Vineyard:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eFrick's Estate Owl Hill Vineyard, on the southeast-facing hillsides near the winery.  This tiny vineyard is composed of rock, gravel and clay from decomposed Dry Creek Conglomerate soil.  In this soil the vines have low vigor and produce limited amounts of grapes with distinctive, full, rich and classic varietal character.
